How does that work? 

LGBTQ Latter-day Saints who are active in the church are often asked why and how do they do that. We will share testimonies and experiences and talk about ministering to and with our families. 

What’s working?

In recent years there has been growing commitment in the wards and stakes of the church to more effective ministry to and with LGBTQ individuals and their families. Church leaders will talk about different ministering efforts they’ve observed that have born good fruit. 

Connection

There will be ample community time Friday evening and Saturday during the day for connection, conversation, and story sharing. Saturday evening and Sunday morning will be times for inspiration, music, testimony and worship.

Travel Instructions

Google Maps does not provide adequate guidance when using the venue address. When using a GPS, please use the provided coordinates (40.548425,-111.420726) that will take you to the private road about 0.7 miles south of the intersection of River Rd/32 and 189. Follow that private road west for about 0.6 miles to arrive at the venue.

Lodging

We have made arrangements for a reduced rate at the Holiday Inn Express - Heber City. Mention "Emmaus LGBTQ Ministry" when making a reservation to get a rate of $149/night. They are holding a block of 15 rooms through September 10, 2022 at this rate and may have additional ones available if that block fills up.
